Hall of HeroesIf your anything like me your busy enough during the day that you have little time to think or do little else, but sometimes after you get home and on the rare occasion you have no responsibilities your mind begins to wonder about the past or future. So, what do you do...you go to Google, and that sequence of events may have been what inspired this page. Not by me, but from one of you. Winston Churchill said, "The destiny of man is not measured by material computations. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we're spirits—not animals." And he said, "There's something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty." It's not always easy to serve one another, but for those that have and currently do serve we are touched and often moved by their passion and commitment to something greater than themselves.

Indeed, they are impressed upon our minds and the ripples of their short lives seem to echo long after they are gone. I received an e-mail on 24 May 2014. In that e-mail they said they found this website via Google in a search of items related to the 90th Bomb Group. They contacted me and shared some stories that were very similar to my own. In that moment I was asked if I wanted any of there family members information to display on this website. I was deeply moved by that level of trust and the desire to share these moments in time. In an instant they were no more strangers but friends through a common bond.
This section is dedicated to you all. If you wish to share a story, photo, or legacy of someone who has served, then this page is for you. Just go to my Contact tab and send me whatever it is that you would like for me to display.-David Lankford |
