First commission of 2019, and an inspirational project to work on. This graphic is going to a grandson and relatives who family flew on El Lobo, and survived its crash and was later a POW for the remainder of WWII. Only 4 of the 6 crew survived the crash, but a testament to the durability of this incredible piece of machinery. -JR  Resurrecting the past one patch at a time. This project has been extremely rewarding. Moving onto the B-17 El Lobo from the 364th next.
 Not much longer. Cockpit needs designing along with a few bombs maybe a missile and a drop tank.
 
The A-7 Corsair II was originally designed and adopted for US Navy purposes in Vietnam, but the US Air Force later adopted this airframe as part their fleet much like the F-4 Phantom. The A-7D joined the USAF fleet in 1970 seeing plenty of operations in Vietnam and was eventually retired in 1991. This will be another series of posts that will follow the development of one our JR1942 designs. I hope you will enjoy the updates as much as I like to create the designs.
 P-51 Complete. After Action Review: illustrating brushed/polish aluminum is painful!
 Almost complete, need to work on the tail section and it should be just about done.
 Polished Aluminium applied. My kids asked me how I made the silvery skin and I told them my technique was similar to how they color, lots of vigorous scribbling with just a few colors...sometimes its just a lot of luck and deleting...
 The last design of 2015 has become the first design of 2016, but she seems to be coming along nicely...
 This P-51 will be the last design of 2015. This year has been a good one and here are a few of the highlights.

 Tanks have an incredible amount of parts to illustrate making this design a lesson in patience, perseverance intermingled with several relaxing hours of destroying evil on the Play Station 4. Tanks are so cool...
My oldest son like many of us loves German engineering. Thus his request for me to draw a WWII Tiger I Tank. I'm really looking forward to this one...my first request for a tank and adversary litho. both deadly and inspiring.
 The HALO Pelican is fully operational. My son gives the best feedback..."that's awesome dad!" This ones for you buddy.
